People HATED Michelle Obama for trying to make school lunches healthier.
Gonna have to disagree with you there. Who knows how long he'll last, but I don't doubt that Trump will put him in the admin from the start.I don't want to sound like one of those people who dismiss everything Trump says, but even if he's elected, the odds RFK actually has a role in Trump's administration are about 2%.
The HY2012 experience in a nutshell. You find a lot of things hard to believe just because they don't happen to you.
Yeah, I don't know the actual number, but she was a deputy DA in Alameda County for eight years and an assistant DA in San Francisco for two years. From the DAs I know in Charlotte, she likely tried 100+ cases over those ten years. So "hundreds" may be an exaggeration, but I'm thinking she has a ton of courtroom experience.Just as an aside, I don't think there's any way Kamala made hundreds of closing arguments in her career. Maybe a couple dozen.
Bingo. I'm no speechwriter but I can see the outlines. You don't even have to mention Trump by name, and in fact I wouldn't. You can paint the insurrection, which started at the admonition of her opponent at the very spot she'll be speaking, as inherently un-American. Same with calling political opponents the enemy from within. Same with calling parts of America floating garbage. Pivot to we can disagree without being disagreeable. Dissent is vital to our democracy's survival. We're stronger because we can voice our disagreement. You can't threaten to jail people or revoke broadcasting licenses because you disagree. That's not what happens in a democracy. Pivot to a more unifying message. Even if you don't vote for me, as president I will listen to you, and I will look out for you and your interests too. That's the job. That's always been the job.Absolutely. She needs to present the stark contrast between her hopeful vision and Trump's hateful vision. She needs to hammer Trump or his violent and offensive rhetoric and associations, but that should not be the core of her speech. It is a fine line, for sure. But this is a speech to instill a sense of hope about America. It is a build people up speech.
Trump doesn't give a shit about RFKJr, but he understands loyalty and rewarding it like the wannabe mob boss he is.They won't get him through the Senate to do the shit he's talking about.
But more importantly, Trump doesn't give a shit about RFK. He just liked the name. RFK is going to be more Peter Navarro than anyone important.
Lololol at voting for Trump to own the libs but getting your 401k owned instead. Dumb fucks.

Yeah, my understanding is that in CA, misdemeanor cases are typically tried before a jury. In NC, they are initially tried before a judge (no jury). Obviously jury trials take a lot longer than bench trials.Yeah, I don't know the actual number, but she was a deputy DA in Alameda County for eight years and an assistant DA in San Francisco for two years. Thanks guys. I had honestly forgotten she worked so long as a county DA. You're probably right she argued many cases of that kind, though what you're describing is only loosely a "closing argument."Yeah, my understanding is that in CA, misdemeanor cases are typically tried before a jury. When ADAs in NC start out, they are in district court handling misdemeanors, and in Mecklenburg they are probably trying 3-5 cases cases per day (most of these are very short trials), so making 3-5 closing arguments per per day. As such, they have probably made 100s of closing arguments after just their first year at the DAs office.
