Dorton is also across a parking lot from the Rarely Beats Carolina Center. There's a reason they chose the former, and they can't even fill that.
LOLOL State fans spend enough time watching their basketball team get its ass kicked at home by a team wearing blue. If they had to also watch their godking get *his* ass kicked by a team wearing blue in that same building, they'd already be climbing the walls of the U.S. Capitol...again.

Not sure what I am supposed to do here. Fly into NC and lock my parents in a closet so they can't vote? They support bad people and have revealed that at their core they are bad people too. Our relationship is all but permanently broken. I don't see how their being horrible human beings is my fault.
Amen

Do I realize I have TREMENDOUS privilege in this country as a white man? Yes

Do I have the ability to change the minds of so many of my cousins, aunts, uncles, old friends, classmates, coworkers etc who have chosen MAGA brain rot? No. I have tried. To the point they either cut me out or I had to cut them out. What the hell else am I supposed to do?

Being an ally isn’t as hard as being an actual oppressed group. I don’t think anyone would ever claim that. But being blamed for the problem when you’re actually a member of the pro democracy coalition is a little much.

I tend to agree with HY, Haley is following the lane for a shot at the ‘28 nomination and isn’t the only one doing this.

Governors Kemp and Sununu (and Youngkin & DeSantis from the MAGA right) are all engaging in a version of the same dance to varying degrees.

Now, if Trump wins this election, I’m not so sure this works as well for the Haley/Sununu side, and TBD how much momentum JD Vance would have, but he will have a lot of money already lined up for the race post Trump second term.

If we have an wipe out of the GOP tonight that the polls are not detecting, then I think the Haley/Sununu lane will be better positioned but likely will have to battle with Never Trump Republicans trying to recapture the party in the image of Reagan. But that seems remote right now, so the never-Trumpers seem stuck in the wilderness until at least the next election cycle.
Agree with you. She’s got a viable path forward if/when Trump loses this upcoming election, but she is understandably trying to shore up some support she may need in 2028 from the Trump base if she ends up head to head against Kamala in the 2028 General.

Folks, y'all can stop that right now lmao. Nikki Haley has the least viable path forward in the Republican Party of, like, literally anyone. Name a person. I'll guarantee that that person has a much more viable future in the post-Trump GOP than Nimrata Randahawa.

You're only saying that because she's a non white woman.
Not at all. I'm saying it because she is an enormous squish. What lane does Nikki Haley fill that will help the GOP recover the scores upon scores of people whom they've lost over the last decade with their surrender to Trumpism?

You're probably right that about that in a general election.

Also interesting he can't fill Dorton. Not even trying for Carter Finley or the RBC center
Carter-Finley and the RBC Center have enough trouble filling up to watch the usual losers who play there, can you imagine if they tried to fill it for *this* loser who is liable to deep throat microphones in front of tens of people?
