It might help if they were running any kind of offensive schemes that were suited for them. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him knock down open shots.

That's certainly one opinion.Warm yes... down from almost too hot
In your opinion.Sure, they definitely can. But, they don't share nearly the blame that you are putting on them. The vast majority of that blame lies on the shoulders of the head coach and staff.
You’d be wrong….AGAIN.Let me guess, you two probably blamed the players for the failures of Matt's teams.
Who would you want to replace Hubert? That's certainly one opinion.
For others, his seat isn't hot enough.
Can you share your basketball pedigree? What makes you so sure of all these opinions? It might help if they were running any kind of offensive schemes that were suited for them.
Exactly. It might help if they were running any kind of offensive schemes that were suited for them.
Tell us what you’d do, coach. It might help if they were running any kind of offensive schemes that were suited for them.
To be fair, I'm not saying that Hubert should be gone after this season unless we miss the NCAAT.Who would you want to replace Hubert?
From the guy who still thinks Roy Williams could have learned a thing or two from him.Exactly.
When a building collapses under its own weight, it doesn't take an engineer to diagnose that something went wrong. Can you share your basketball pedigree? What makes you so sure of all these opinions?
Also, what’s your IC username.
You’re starting to sound like that guy who kept getting banned over there.
Was has Miller done that would warrant a look?To be fair, I'm not saying that Hubert should be gone after this season unless we miss the NCAAT.
That said, I'm not sure who we'd get, but we'd need to run a real search and hire the best candidate possible.
The floor should be Wes Miller, who would almost certainly jump at the chance and would be a measurable upgrade over Hubert.
The building hasn’t collapsed. When a building collapses under its own weight, it doesn't take an engineer to diagnose that something went wrong.
Folks don't have to be a coach themselves or have all the answers to point out the obvious flaws.
No, but there are cracks everywhere and the floor is obviously uneven. The building hasn’t collapsed.
I’d like to see a repair over a tear down. No, but there are cracks everywhere and the floor is obviously uneven.
He's had moderate success as a HC and shown he can build a program. Was has Miller done that would warrant a look?
If you fire a guy like Hubert Davis you better hit a home run on his replacement.
I'd prefer a repair, but it certainly appears we need a new general contractor.I’d like to see a repair over a tear down.
It’s a weird period in CBB history. I dont know if it’s fair to declare rough times a total indictment on a coaching staff.
The dynamics of college sports has certainly changed and I agree it is probably harder in the off season than it has ever been. However, anyone who has ever been a successful manager of people can easily see the flaws in what hubert is doing and i would disagree that once the season begins and the roster is set, accountability is no different under hubert than it was under DES. Making the same repeated mistakes in january as you did in november shows a lack of accountability in either the assistant coaches or player. The constant lack of effort on D is accountability. But it isn't just a lack of accountability that is the problem. That is but 1 issue. The lack of fundamentals, breakdown in rebounding, lack of effective scheme, etc. is 100% coaching. That is operational and doesn't even get into failures in recruiting and roster construction.Accountability in what is in essence a 9 richter scale earthquake of change under the entire college basketball landscape? This is like Econ class in 2009 in that the curriculum is being rewritten based on new unprecedented developments every week. Everything is in a complete state of flux. Coaching CBB now is probably the hardest job it’s ever been by a factor of 10, and all the old schoolisms of accountability and loyalty are as good as model Ts. Coaches are like ship captains in an ocean that just turned from water to wind.
I don’t know about that. You can do a lot worse than what Hubert has done. He's had moderate success as a HC and shown he can build a program.
You don't need a home run to be better than Hubert, you just need someone who can hit consistent doubles with the chance to stretch them for more. Hubert is looking like a Mendoza Line hitter thus far who can occasionally hit with some power.
