So - WTF happened in Iowa? How was Selzer so far off?
It’s pretty clear a lot of people lied to pollsters. There’s a serious love for Trump that many voters don’t like to admit publicly but are willing to cast votes for him privately.

Oh yeah this was a big red wave

Now the county will find out. Our credit rating should be reduced soon

As I said on another thread a while ago the Democratic Party has not in the past and does not currently do a good job reaching out to Latinos or focusing on issues that matter to Latinos when they are in office. This failure has left this group open to predatory tactics by the republicans (Bush actually seemed to want to accomplish some meaningful goals with respect to Latinos).

Polls weren't really that wrong it seems.

Nate silver (ugh) was right that the swings would largely go all together.

But honestly what is the Democrat party now? It's gotta change.
I guess most were within the MOE. Iowa was not, which I feel is what really kickstarted the Hopium here.

I don't think we'll see a woman come out of the Dem primary anytime soon unfortunately.
Oh, I think we might have a variety of Dem candidates. The Putins of the world always need wilting competition, and what’s better than one’s that occasionally stir the soul of small and defined groups? What I don’t think we’ll see is a free and fair election for the remainder of most of our lives (to be clear, I think this was a legit election).

The polls were wrong.

There is no change possible. Trump has promised everything. You can't compete with that. You just have to wait until it all falls apart and then try to pick up the pieces, if we're ever allowed.
