Meh. That’s pretty weak.Because it isn't a good idea for fantasy to be considered reality. An excellent grasp on reality is healthy for society in my opinion.

Indeed. MAGA is quite literally built on right-wing fantasies, lots of them.Meh. That’s pretty weak.
I honestly haven't thought it out. I just went with the opposite of what I felt Zen expectedYou mean have an "open" category in addition to the current two, or, for example, just one professional basketball league all athletes?
It's what tournament bridge did. I know it's not a physical game as such but the principle seems sound. You mean have an "open" category in addition to the current two, or, for example, just one professional basketball league all athletes?
I've also read that Phelps has incredibly large hands, whice give him an advantage. I'm sure he should be banned, no one should ever have an advantage.I mostly swam - so completely non-contact.
When I was 14, at the state championships, I made finals (Top 8) in 5-6 events. I remember going to the blocks for the 200 meter fly. I was the only one who wasn’t 5’8” or taller. I was 4’11”. I was the only one who hadn’t “shaved down” for the meet - no need to do so.
The 13-14 girls 200 fly final was just before us; all 8 of those girls were taller than my 4’11” self; 7 of them definitely outweighed me (none were fat).
The next year I aged up to the 15-and-over age group. I went on a growth spurt - I was now a towering 5’3”. I was still shorter than everyone I swam against. It is what it is.
If anyone wonders if height matters in swimming, Michael Phelps is 6’4”, Caleb Dressel is 6’3”, Ian Thorpe is 6’5”. Summer McIntosh is 5’8”. Katie Ledecky is 6’0”.
Phelps has numerous physical advantages that might have helped him:I've also read that Phelps has incredibly large hands, whice give him an advantage. I'm sure he should be banned, no one should ever have an advantage.
I see.I honestly haven't thought it out. I just went with the opposite of what I felt Zen expected
I totally think it could work in sports/games that are not "physical." I do worry about the economic impact it would have though. For example, if there were just one professional basketball league, there's little chance it would have any non-male athletes. It's what tournament bridge did. I know it's not a physical game as such but the principle seems sound.
Well since this isn't fantasy, your point doesn't make sense.Because it isn't a good idea for fantasy to be considered reality. An excellent grasp on reality is healthy for society in my opinion.
Yes, and he also very likely loathes transgenders as a group and not only wants them out of women's sports but pretty much out of the public eye.Zen's issue, I believe, is that he sees a transgender woman competing with other women as cheating, equivalent to someone taking steroids, or stealing signs, or palming cards, etc. That's why he's able to ignore all kinds of other genetic advantages certain athletes have, claiming it's "fair."
Yet we allow religion and discussion of a soul? That doesn't make any sense in context.

As for actual fantasy, it's a great part of society. Could you imagine how boring society would be without it?
What’s the harm being done and to whom?"Transgenderism" is fantasy. And in my opinion, doing what people call "affirming" does more harm than good. However, I think if people want to play along with them, I guess they should be able to. But everyone shouldn't be forced to play along. I'm not going to. I think giving people who are feeling this way a dose of reality, would be better in the long run.
You really should have started with "In my opinion", so we would know the rest was uninformed."Transgenderism" is fantasy. The harm is clearly to his fragile psyche. He seems like Silence and just wants others to hate life as much as he does. What’s the harm being done and to whom?

Except, apparently, transgenders and other LGBTQ people. They aren't real people, I suppose.Haha. I don't hate life at all. Although some days you can flip on the news or read the ZZL Politics board and it seems like a plot out of South Park. LOL. And everyone gets so dang mad all the time when people disagree with them on political issues. I have opinions like anyone else, but I don't name call or dislike people because their opinion differs from mine. I have friends of all political persuasions.

Didn’t you previously say you teach Health, or have I confused you with another poster?Nonsense. Gender and Biological sex should align. The idea that they shouldn't is absurd. Male is Male. Female is Female, with the exception of those rare occasions where there are people born intersex or with some chromosomal genetic situation and a person at that point may need to try and figure some things out. If it's a clear biological male, they need to be for legal, athletic, and for the purposes of public spaces, a male. That doesn't mean if they want to dress up and be a female because they feel that on the inside, they can't do it on their own time. Have at it big guy! And same for females who had rather be a male. Once an adult, go ahead and take all the hormonal stuff you want. sew something on or chop it off, whatever, but you're still whatever your biological sex is.
