This one has been out a while, but I keep going back to it as one of my favorites, especially in the midst of all of the vitriol and cynicism that is out there today. I think it shows humanity at its best.

To me, Scent of a Woman was fine on its merits but it has a stench on it as the point where Pacino leaned into that loud throaty abrasive caricature he has used in nearly every role since.
He had a handful of great performances shortly after that, but has mailed it in since about when the ‘90s ended.
