I seriously hope you are not thinking clearly right now, and this is not what you truly mean.
I’ve thought for a long time that liberal disdain for Sanders is more rooted in this.

I think a lot of liberals project their beliefs onto the hinterland. That is, if I’m an educated liberal from a blue state and I don’t like Bernie Sanders, then surely the uneducated masses also don’t like Bernie Sanders.

The “Bernie could never win a general election” talk seems to always come from these types.

Well now we know that 2016 wasn’t just a fluke. That should’ve been obvious given Sanders’ strength in 2016. There is something to the Trump movement that is more than racism and sexism. Those are drivers of his core support but don’t explain 2016 or 2024.

I went from feeling bad for Harris (probably heartbroken right now) to thinking…

Where the F is she? Radio silence from her campaign right now.

Also ...

Enjoy your extended vacation.

Plus housing construction will grind to a halt and/or housing prices will soar due to losing a considerable part of the housing construction workforce. Think eggs went up a little in price, wait until you see the cost of fruits and vegetables. Then again, this one probably will not affect Trump voters that much since their idea of nutrition is a Wendy’s menu.

I think because the tax paid surgery for trans inmates was and still is a non issue. It doesn't matter for 99.999% of the population. How many trans inmates do any of y'all know?
It matters because it's just nuts and so out there. It matters because it goes to show her complete lack of common sense.

Probably the right call tbh. We all know Trump was still kicking and screaming in the immediate aftermath of 2020, but short of doing that, what else is there to really say? Think we’ve passed the point of the losing side giving the standard pleasantries and wishing the winner well when it comes to politics.

And willingly, assuming Putin meets Trump’s price.
And willingly, assuming what Putin has on Trump, is actually still shocking enough to sway American voters. But given the results of the 2024 election, what shocks Republican voters may have outstripped what Putin has. In NC, in 2024, what shocked Republican voters was a candidate advocating a return of slavery and proclaiming himself to be Nazi.

Return of slavery and self-identifying as a Nazi. Those were "a bridge too far" for Republicans in 2024. Makes you wonder what beliefs will be "a bridge to far" in 2028 for Republicans?

The country pretty clearly chose conservative policy over progress. Are you suggesting that Bernie's ability to speak plainly would've overcome the headwinds facing KH? It's an interesting proposition.

Democrats keep allowing Republicans to bait them into defending stupid non-issues like trans men playing women's sports, or sex change surgery for trans prisoners. What did Trump say yesterday when asked how he voted on the Florida abortion bill? He said "stop talking about that," and ignored the question.

Democrats need to answer questions about stupid culture war issues with "that's ridiculous, the American people are concerned about kitchen table issues and that is the focus of our campaign." Just do not get drawn into fabricated culture war issues. If you see some bullshit is getting traction as the case of the trans prisoner surgeries, you simply say "the Biden Administration followed the exact same policy that the Trump administration did.....why aren't you asking Trump about this?" and move on.

They chose cult of personality. And inflation. Bernie would have won in 2016.

What do 2016 and 2024 have in common? A woman candidate.

Inflation, hurricanes, and vetting on the Dem. side took a toll. Racism, xenophobia, misogyny - the chimps won. Bonobos lost.

Gas is already down to $2.39 here. Oil futures are already around $70/ba as inventory surged. It's amazing how Trump did that without being President. I'm sure he'll take credit.

I hope Trump is kidding about tariffs (but I doubt it) and can use it as negotiating leverage. But keep in mind the Adults in the Room in Trump 1.0 acknowledged that Trump had a very poor grasp of foreign policy and the US Constitution (and didn't care)

I would agree with the notion that Biden pulled an RGB and didn't step out as he promised (single term POTUS)...to allow primaries.
First, eff you on your racism, xenophobia, and misogyny excuses because you are blind, lazy, and ignorant as to why you lost.

Guarantee you trump has a greater grasp on foreign policy than harris or brandon has. No Ukraine or war in Middle East during trump 1.0. You may not agree with his foreign policy decisions then but his grasp seemed firm enough to keep the world from falling apart.
