That's the point. You don't bandwagon with Tottenham. There is no bandwagon. I don't pick teams based on winning... And given I'm much older than you, I wouldn't abandon my team because "they haven't won lately"

Arsenal was the trendy team to join 20 years ago. I get it they were winning and were fun.

Sports are fun to watch. You pick a team for whatever reason and stick with them. Winning doesn't matter for fandom
agreed on all accounts. 11 year old me didn't know anything about trends or tradition - it was all about thierry henry.

arsenal has had a LOT of lean years since the early aughts but that didn't stop many of us from loving them and sticking with them, losses and chaos and embarrassments be damned.

Oh I hear you. I question the man city fans.

The only team I picked because they won was the NY Giants. I remember Simms and love blue and that stuck... Until the Panthers came along and the Giants fell to a distant second in my heart

I also grew up an Expos fan so outside of Duke I rarely have much to celebrate with sports. The Nats winning the world series was fun. Hurricanes winning the cup. But most of my teams have a pattern of perpetual disappointment lol

yeah.....the vast majority of american city fans are pure bandwagoners attracted to their winning run under pep. lame.

i'm also somewhat a giants fan! my mom is from CT and a fan and my parents actually hung out with phil on their wedding night, he was at the same club where they took their after party! i have a framed poster that he signed congratulating them.

spurs, expos, panthers....outside of dook you really are living in sports hell, my dude. i feel for you.

I’ll take the point considering we went down to 10 men but the second yellow card for “kicking the ball away” is getting ridiculous. And fuck Haaland

fuck mancheater city and FUCK michael oliver. that bozo needs to be investigated.

we more than deserved all 3 points today.

the first trossard yellow was fairly soft, too.

haaland should've already been on a yellow when he pulled the stunt throwing the ball at gabi, so that should've been a red.

where the HELL were the yellow cards when doku and silva kicked away balls to delay restarts?

its unreal. it all really starts to make you think there's more going on than just staggering incompetence.

horrendous refereeing has cost us 4 points so far this season. we need to have some really serious conversations with the league office.

I couldn’t believe I was cheering for Arsenal today.

And I knew that they wouldn’t be able to keep focus for the full 45 plus stoppage. Playing like they had to is mentally tiring and you could see them starting to lose focus before stoppage time began. It’s hard running all the way through the tape at the finish line. Made me think about how Liverpool held at Tottenham down two men and just lost focus right at the end to lose.

Today, we were all City fans

Not tomorrow. They can go die again
nah, just you spuds fans and all 7 city fans.

everyone else with a lick of sense and a pulse is sick to death of mancheater city.

Oh I am sick and tired of them. I just dislike red quite a bit more.

These points are going to crucial after the City tie with Newcastle
i was watching the game at my parents house, they had cable/internet and i didn't earlier today due helene impacts.

my mom could not understand why i was melting down so hard when it was 2-2. she understands how football works, knows a draw isn't the worst and she knows that the prem season is still very young but she doesn't know the up to date context of this PL race.

i explained to her that we absolutely could NOT drop any points at home to a relegation level team in the midst of all of this jockeying with city.

I tell you who you REALLY don't bandwagon with: Everton. Who I picked in 2014 along with my son after watching Tim Howard in that summer's World Cup. Howard in goal, a young Lukaku up front, and Roberto Martinez [who had been all over ESPN's coverage from Brazil] gave us some familiar and exciting faces to follow. Let's just say it's been a lean decade.

nice little champions league win for arsenal tonight. not an overwhelming psg side but still probably the best in france with tons of young talent.

really like that we're continuing to find ways to get results without our full complement of players.

merino finally out there in an arsenal kit was nice to see. lets get him up to speed and get odegaard back and really start cracking.
