Supposedly the Beach Boys were an influence on the Beatles and Pet Sounds may have inspired their Sgt. Peppers album.

Pet Sounds influenced the production on Sgt Pepper as did Pet Sounds' bass tone and how Brian uses the bass as a more melodic mix forward instrument.Supposedly the Beach Boys were an influence on the Beatles and Pet Sounds may have inspired their Sgt. Peppers album.
Saw Vince Gill at DPAC last night. Great show! He did 35 songs, played for over 3 hours, and still sounds great. Had an excellent band of musicians with him, as well.
Definitely a far more talented guitarist than I would have ever given him credit. He did a little jamming here and there and slipped part of the guitar outro from "I Can't Tell You Why" into one song and did the same thing later sneaking part of "Jessica" into another outro jam.Isn't Vince the best ? Many folks may not know but he is a mean guitarist
I had the privilege to see him in Memorial Hall some years ago. He had come to play golf in the annual dook Children Classic and decided to visit the Southern Part of Heaven and do another benefit performance. He brought out a stool and an acoustic guitar and sang and played solo for an amazing 60 minutes...a performance I will take to my grave
Then you might not have run into these guys who I like a lot.
I have not run into these guy, but I sure do like that song... I now have the EELS on my radar for another CD![]()
