What is truly staggering about all of this is that it is all totally unnecessary. The government was working well before Trump took office, and anyone who believes otherwise isn't in touch with reality. Was it perfect? Of course not - it's never been - but overall it worked pretty well. There is simply no good need for all of these deep cuts and firings and ending research funding. All of this is nothing more than the final stages of the petty and wildly vindictive Trumper vendetta against experts, expertise, mainstream science, the professional classes, college-educated people, and pretty much everything they resent and hate and are jealous of. And that's why so many Trumpers are gloating as of the moment - they love seeing these people suffer and getting hurt. For the base that's what matters. For Elon and Thiel and other wealthy plutocrats this is simply a massive attempt at personal grift and a way to pay for even more tax breaks and control of our society for themselves.
My most sincere thank you here for reminding the rubes that trump is in fact violating established law, showing himself to be a dictator!Just a reminder that this is a thread about Trump violating the law, while you scold others for not engaging in serious discussion.
Okay, back to the BDS caterwauling.
Just making sure this is sarcasm? The "immigrant taking jobs away from Americans" she refers to is Elon Musk.Jasmine used to be my favorite Congress person, but admitting that immigrants are taking away our jobs is beyond the pale...

'I was wrong': Dem lawmaker makes 'admission to MAGA' about 'immigrants taking our jobs'
Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett on Sunday made what she called an "admission to MAGA" about immigrants taking jobs. Crockett, a Democratic lawmaker who has taken aim at Donald Trump as well as Marjorie Taylor Greene, took to X over the weekend to blast Elon Musk. Musk happens to own the...www.rawstory.com
Hmmm, so he might be close to the FO part of FAFO.My nephew-in-law is in charge of a nat'l forest district in AZ. He is at this moment just off on a friggin Disney cruise and coming home to this shit. Trumper you ask? Of course as are most of his rangers and other staff.
I really don't know how to react. There's the FAFO approach of just laughing, but these are real people and many of them cannot afford for this to happen.
‘We’ve been betrayed:’ Local veterans angry after being laid off by Trump administration
There's one national park he's so fond of that he believes he should be enshrined upon.Trump loves national parks. He even gives cool names to them, like Yo-Semite.
Update. He still has his job. 20 of his Rangers were let go. Oops! They are firefighters as well. 19 are rehired. One already found another job.My nephew-in-law is in charge of a nat'l forest district in AZ. He is at this moment just off on a friggin Disney cruise and coming home to this shit. Trumper you ask? Of course as are most of his rangers and other staff.
Except, unfortunately, by a(n overwhelming) majority of citizens in this country.
You don't think Israel, if it wanted to, couldn't have wiped Gaza/Palestine off the map by now?So Joe Biden withheld giving Israel bombs that could blow Palestine off the map, but Trump doesn't hesitate to send them.
Way to think it through, Dearborn. Hope your symbolic abstinence was worth it.
I don't think Trump trying to end the Ukraine/Russia war is about fear. Biden and the rest of the world have had plenty of time to figure out an end to the war. What's wrong with letting Trump try?Not only are we again a laughing stock under Trump, but we’re also bordering on being a threat to global stability. What a mess.

European leaders gather for an emergency meeting over fear Trump has isolated age-old allies
French President Emmanuel Macron has called leaders from key European Union nations and the United Kingdom for an emergency meeting Monday.apnews.com
Note to the Callas who will undoubtedly try to prop this up that “being feared” is a position of strength: There’s a stark difference between being feared “as a leader” vs being feared as a loose cannon and regarded as a liability. We have clearly become the latter.
Giving Russia what they want is a bad outcome. Bad for Ukraine. Bad for Europe. Bad for NATO. Bad for the US.I don't think Trump trying to end the Ukraine/Russia war is about fear. Depending on the outcome, it may not be bad, right?
