Walz v. Vance VP Debate - Post-Game Thread | Vance now says Trump won in 2020

I can't stand him, but Vance was sharp. He was as dishonest and disingenuous as the day is long in many/most of his answers, but he was sharp. I'd like to think that beneath the MAGA mask, which requires unconditional sycophancy to Trump, there is a principled, reasonable conservative with whom I may disagree vehemently on many or most policy ideas, but still believe him to be a good person. I'm certain I have no reason to think it's true based on what we've seen and heard from him ever since he began his Senate run, but I'd like to believe it's possible.
 
Walz was strong on healthcare and obviously got the moment of the night with the quip about Pence.

Vance denying that he called for a national ban on abortion is big. Probably the biggest lie of the night. He also suffered the only mute of the night when he continued to lie about Springfield.

No doubt the right will run with Walz when he misspoke about school shooters. Pathetic.

We agree on one thing- there's no reason to believe he's principled, reasonable, or a good person.
 
Vance won the debate but I’m not sure it will matter much. Vance is easily the smartest of the 4 candidates on the two combined tickets and the best debater. So Walz had his work cut out for him.

JD Vance did a good job on October 1, 2024 of running for president in 2028. Honestly, if you’re a big Vance fan then you should vote for Harris this year so he can continue to separate himself from the wannabe dictator.
