Are they supporting trump or an outsider (any outsider) going against a system that’s failing them? It shouldn’t be close, but it is. And the explanation that “people are dumb” is lazy and obtuse.

David Plouffe was on Pod Save America and I know he is not a neutral voice, but in a nutshell he says this is a margin of error race; believes the public polling is not worth listening to; says he would rather be "us than them;" and "our internal polling points to hidden support among anti-Trump Republicans. For me, Harris 270-268 is a terrible scenario…arguably worst case.

If Trump fairly gets 270+ it would be awful, but the will of the people will have spoken. If Harris gets 270 exactly it will go to the Courts, and I have no faith this SCOTUS will do the right thing…especially if one state can swing the results.

I say worst case because Harris will have fairly won, but it literally could be stolen. That’s when you could/would potentially see violence from the Left.

It becomes less likely the larger the EC margin. We’re already at a point where the Dem nominee needs to win the popular vote by at least 4%. Throw in a SCOTUS that is 6-3 with half of those 6 appointed by Trump, and 2 that weren’t being arguably the worst/most biased Justices ever, and I won’t assume a win is safe if a single state can swing things.

Dem might not have to win the PV by as much going forward to win the EC anymore if racial depolarization continues its trend.

Liberal minded folks need to seriously consider gun ownership, if they don't have guns already.

Mind you, this is if you believe in protecting yourself against violence with violence (or the threat thereof) vs peaceful resistance. If we're talking a ttump presidency, firearm ownership is unlikely to matter as ttump will militarize many cities (whether further militarization of cops or actual military), and any resistance you offer will be futile. However, if ttump loses he WILL overtly promote vigilant/militia/supremacy terrorism against the liberal "vermin" who "stole your country from you". There will be hundreds, if not thousands, of incidents where known, or perceived, liberals will have violence perpetrated upon them and their homes.
