Yes, she should have vehemently combated it, saying the Dems don't give a shit about trans prisoners.

The left doesn't know right now how to be callous assholes. That's part of my purpose.

But make no mistake, that ad did not win anything. It was already won, from Covid inflation, to X, to a MAJORITY of rubes being incredibly stupid.

Pubs deal in nearly all misinformation.

Saying Dems need to respond to all the lies is not even possible.

It's time to go on the offensive. That's where I sincerely hope Dems go. Lie about Pubs nonstop. Blame every bad thing that happens on Trump, regardless of the actual cause.

Trump causes airplane crashes! And all the dumb rubes now want people to die on airplanes.

Unfortunately this is not going to happen. I do think people will vote at least 60% blue by the midterms.

It won't matter, it will be fully rigged. Mark my words.

It's too late, he's going after mail in ballots, and voter suppression in big cities will be tenfold.

As these realizations play out over 2 years, find me. I have already formulated thousands of ways to destroy rednecks

5. What will have to happen for you to admit you were wrong? What if GM and Ford go bankrupt? Will you admit then that it was all a huge fuckup? What if GDP declines by 2-3%? It seems to me that your position is "Trump can do no wrong and I'm not going to be open to the possibility that he might" and that's just ignorant and ridiculous.

I'm on record as saying I'm not a fan of Trump's tariff policies. They'll be a quick settlement and perhaps a factory or two will relocate to the US (like the Civic plant to Indiana) but I don't think it's worth the anxiety and pain that the tariffs cause - possibly inflation if they remain in place long enough. I would prefer Trump to cut spending and the size of government and allow the economy to continue to run on cruise control. The reduced spending would help with inflation. Tariffs complicate my preferred plan.

My hope is that Bessent will talk Trump out of further tariffs after this first wave is complete.

Oh. So you're not even following your own advice of "relax, it will be OK." Cool cool cool. Guess what? I also hope that somebody talks Trump out of it, but I doubt it would be Bessent (who got the job by advocating for tariffs). I don't know that there is anyone in Trump's orbit who could possibly talk him out of it. Not even Murdoch media has had any success.

So, if the tariffs do cause inflation (they already have, btw -- markets react proactively; it's why interest rates have jumped after the election), you will admit that your guy fucked up? You'll admit that he fucked up in the exact same way that the liberals predicted? I'm not interested in playing "I told you so" games, but maybe if you can clearly see how badly Trump fucked this up, maybe you'll start to be less credulous about him on other issues. And maybe you will realize that liberals aren't, in fact, libtards. Most of us are quite knowledgeable, especially the party leaders.

I'm not much on conspiracies, but I am concerned with legislation to make voting harder (save act) and I'm actually concerned with big tech and Musk finding a way to actually impact voting machines. Plus there's the gerrymandering. God were fucked.

Wow, at least you see the issue with tariffs, I'm sure it's for personal gain...

To bad you can't see that trumps methodologies for cutting government will cost more in the long run.

Nothing is woth the anxiety that trump is causing.

It will be nice when he's gone, hopefully we have a real leader with real ideas to help everyone as our next President.

The pubs will probably run JD, once again demonstrating that they don't give a fuck about people or good policy.

I don't particularly like Trump's tariff policies but I don't think the sky is falling so "relax" is appropriate. If the tariff issues aren't settled in the coming days/weeks, then I agree he made a mistake on this issue. But, one thing about Trump is that he course corrects very quickly (not an ideologue) if things go sideways.

You can't possibly be serious. He's still fighting over the 2020 election and J6. He's still got grudges from his first term and is acting on them. He sure as hell didn't course correct on Covid. He didn't course correct on killing Obamacare.

And more recently, even though DOGE has been making loads and loads of mistakes, firing people stupidly, eviscerating critical infrastructure, and saving basically no money, Trump continues to give Elon a green light.

In what universe does Trump course correct once he gets his mind made up?
 
Trump course corrects since he arrives at the office with the attitude that every day is a new day - "let's just see what happens." He's transactional and nonideological.

Trump does hold grudges but it appears he plans to "forgive" Z by his announcement of the minerals deal with Ukraine in tonight's SOTU. If so, it would be a huge shift from just Friday afternoon.
 
When you have a party who purposely (and the fact that illegal immigration is down by 90+ percent since Trump became president with the exact same immigration laws only proves it was on purpose) flooded the country with illegal immigrants from all over the world leading to all the problems that will surly result, who has no desire to aggressively prosecute criminals, who wants to call a mother an inseminated person, who can't find a dollar they don't want to spend, who thinks men should be able to compete in women's sports, who can't even tell you what a woman is to begin with, and this is just a small sample of a long list of craziness....what do you expect?

It's not course correction until he stops taking Putin's side and starts taking Ukraine's side, and stops shitting on our allies.
