Yep. When conservatives lost in 2020 we ended up with riots at the Capitol. What we'll get from liberals after this election is likely just giving up and separating themselves from politics and ignoring Trump as much as possible. I already have some liberal friends who have just deleted their facebook or other social media accounts and will just disengage from politics. What I'm seeing from liberals today (including myself) isn't the shock we had after 2016, but just exhaustion and being completely fed up and disgusted with our politics and the country at large. I do think many liberals have reached their breaking point with politics, and they're going to disengage, at least for a long while. The latter already happened. The former will happen.
Many liberals are tired of talking and trying to understand, and they're just done. Hard to blame them after this debacle.Which is really a bad thing.
We need to talk and understand each other and where this country is.
I’d bet on trolling.Given that this is their first post here, I'm not so sure this is a liberal expressing disbelief or a conservative just trolling the board.
I don't see it as whaco stuff. When Georgia passes a law that nullifies my gay daughter's marriage, I'll remind everyone of not caring about the "social whaco stuff".I dont even think most Dems care one bit about social "wacko" stuff whatever that means. But Republicans will hammer it anyways.
Apparently yes.Doubled the black and latino vote and women in NC helped win him the election.
All this means is black people and women in NC, likely your neighbors, coworkers, people you see at the grocery store, helped elect donald trump. Are they racist and misogynistic?
Only in this countryHe should never have been allowed to run after J6
That's not the data I saw. CNN had Biden with a 60-point margin and Harris with a 58-point margin meaning Harris lost 1% and Trump gained 1%. Are you sure your number wasn't some State specific number?Trump won 24% of black men vs Harris compared to only 12% vs Biden.
I’m seeing 86-14 for Harris.Trump won 24% of black men vs Harris compared to only 12% vs Biden.
Because a lot of Latinos are racist. Why do you think Trump started shifting the skin color of the invaders? They were supposedly coming from Mexico, but then Venezuela. And then Congo. And Haiti. And of course they picked on the Haitians in Springfield.I don't see it as whaco stuff. When Georgia passes a law that nullifies my gay daughter's marriage, I'll remind everyone of not caring about the "social whaco stuff".
For me this was big, how did a racist get across to black and Latino men? How did a misoginist get women's votes?
His daily conversation hammered how he is against everyone that isn't exactly like him, how does this resonate beyond the white racist, homophobes, and incels?
I'm not describing what you are here. True, one sided conversations are not going to help, but if the dems don't work to understand the disconnect with voters then how do they expect to do any better in the future? Should they just hope trump ducks up so bad that voters come back? That won’t happen and if it did it wouldn’t be productive. Currently talking to each other means liberals listening to conservatives and agreeing. Conservatives are not asked to consider liberal points of view.
Maybe things change with time but right now I’m not seeing any desire to fight or put things back together. People are tired. There is a lot of fear out there but exhaustion is everywhere. As a result they are just done with conservatives.
One big step that the conservatives have to take and probably first is to accept that the right wing media deserves to be challenged .I'm not saying that they need to put full faith in Mother Jones but they need to at least look at something like the Economist with an open mind. From my POV, they have their own reality. We have to agree on some sort of standard of evidence before we can talk about whys and wherefores or we are never going to get anywhere.I'm not describing what you are here. Agree with the second paragraph, I'm exhausted, this has been a week from hell for me.
Don’t hold your breath, brother. One big step that the conservatives have to take and probably first is to accept that the right wing media deserves to be challenged .I'm not saying that they need to put full faith in Mother Jones but they need to at least look at something like the Economist with an open mind. Can't. Got to exhale between hits.Don’t hold your breath, brother.
I knew a puff puff quip was forthcomingCan't. Got to exhale between hits.
It’s not the democrats that are looking for social wacko stuff. The democrats basic position is that “all are created equal and deserve equal treatment.” When one group looks like they’re at the doorstep of normalcy, the republicans look for the next group that they can bully. And, in the process, paint the democrats as supporting wacko stuff.Trump made so many in-roads with blacks and Hispanics. Democrats need to get back to focusing on day to day issues and get away from the social wacko stuff.
"A man's got to do..."I knew a puff puff quip was forthcoming![]()
Is this a kikbot post?unbelievable! We’re a racist terrible country. Im leaving
